Frequently Asked Questions

How do we get started?

Give us a call, send us and email, shoot us a text, fill out the form on the contact page. Get it touch!!

Next. we can set up a meeting in person. Usually I meet potential clients at a convenient cafe. We talk about what you are looking for at your wedding. I tell you a bit about myself and Watch The Stars, get to know you and see if we are a good fit. It's a bit like a first date! I always recommend that both of you come to the meeting if possible. It's best for everyone to be on the same page and feel great about the person you are hiring!

If you are out of town or just crazy busy, we can set up a phone, Skype or FaceTime meeting too!

What is the cost?

It really depends on how many hours you want covered and how many photographers you want shooting. Do you want every step of your hair & makeup and getting ready covered, all the way to your grand exit, plus an engagement session? Or are you having an intimate ceremony on the beach and only want that shot, plus some gorgeous couple portraits at sunset? Almost any budget and need can be accommodated. Check out our pricing by clicking HERE.

We do have incentives and discounts for intimate, off season and weekday weddings.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. Generally we require a 40% deposit to hold your date. The balance is due on or before your big day. Your deposit is non-refundable if you cancel, but it is transferable to a different date or service.

We can accept Cash, Checks, Credit Cards or PayPal.

What type of payment options do I have?

What do I get with the packages and when will I get to see my photos?

After the big day, there is still more work that needs to be done. For every hour of shooting, there is at least another hour or two of post production. Your photos will be edited, color corrected and processed. Within 7 days you will be emailed a "Sneak Peek". This is 10-15 highlight photos from your wedding. We love to send out a "Sneak Peek" to hold you and your friends and family over until the bulk of the photos are ready! Two to four weeks later you will get a link to your custom slideshow and shortly after this you will receive a USB thumb drive in a keepsake box. On this drive will be all the retouched photos from your slideshow, plus all the processed and color corrected photos taken on your wedding day!

Once I decide to hire you, what's next? Do you have a contract?

Once you decide to hire us to shoot your wedding (hooray!), we will draw up a contract with the details of the package and features you have chosen, along with your date, location and approximate schedule. I will email this to you and you can look it over and make sure everything is correct. You then sign it and can either email or snail mail it back (keep a copy for yourself!) Once we receive the deposit and the signed contract, we consider your date taken!

About 2-3 weeks before the wedding, we will check in and go over final details and schedule for the big day. I will ask to be connected with your event planner, if you have one, and we will talk about what your most wanted shots are.

At this point we will finalize when you would like to see each other for the first time in your wedding finery and when we will take your couples portraits. Do you want to do an intimate "First Look" or are you very traditional and have your heart set on not seeing each other until you are walking down the aisle.

Do you shoot video?

No. Video and still photography are two very different specialties. We will be happy to recommend a videographer to you.

Absolutely! However we do charge appropriate travel and lodging fees for weddings further than 100 miles.

Will you travel outside of the LA area to shoot my wedding?

Do you do engagement sessions?

YES YES YES! It's one of our favorite things to do and a great way to get to know you!

Actually no. The photographer always retains the copyright to the photos they have created. This way we can use them for advertising and to enter contests. However, we give you permission to reproduce them however and wherever you like. Take out a billboard on Sunset Blvd if you want. Neither of us has the right to resell them for profit unless we create a separate contract agreeing to do so.

Will I own the copyright to the photos?
